Training only. SIM MONITOR CO shows simulated vital signs for healthcare education and simulation. It is not a medical device and must never be used to monitor, diagnose or treat a real patient, or to make any clinical decision.

These terms apply when you use the SIM MONITOR CO website (simmonitorco.com.au) or apps, provided by SIM MONITOR CO PTY LTD (ACN 703 289 169), "we". By using SIM MONITOR CO you agree to them. If you use it for an organisation, you agree for that organisation.

1. Using SIM MONITOR CO

You may use SIM MONITOR CO for education, training and simulation.
Don't enter real patient information, including in scenarios you write or pictures you show.
Clinical content (scenarios, notes, doses, results and images) is for teaching. It may be simplified or deliberately abnormal for discussion, and it isn't clinical advice. Always follow your own organisation's guidelines.
You're responsible for how simulations are run and supervised, and for participants' safety.

2. Free features, purchases and licences

Some features are free: the monitor, a sample scenario, and 10 minutes of control per simulation room (per 24 hours). Others (such as scenario packs and the scenario builder) need a purchase or a licence code.
In-app purchases are one-off purchases made through Apple or Google. They give you a licence code for what you bought. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Licence codes issued directly to individuals or organisations (for example an annual institutional licence) are for the licensee named when the code was issued and their own trainers. They may expire on the date given when issued.
Don't share, publish or resell licence codes. Each code has a serial number and its use is recorded (see the privacy policy). We may cancel codes that are shared or misused.
Some scenario packs are made for and available only to a particular organisation. They are confidential to that organisation.

3. Our content and your content

SIM MONITOR CO's software, design, scenarios, clinical notes, translations, sounds and images belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright. Third-party material is credited on the credits & licences page and used under its own licence.
You may not copy, extract, scrape, download in bulk, translate, republish or sell the scenarios or other content, or use them (including by feeding them to an artificial intelligence system) to build or train another product, except as allowed by law.
You may not reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to bypass licence checks, rate limits or other protections, except where the law says you can.
Scenario content sent to each licence is marked so that a copy can be traced to the licence it came from.
Scenarios you write yourself are yours. They're stored on your own device unless you choose to share them.

4. Availability

SIM MONITOR CO needs an internet connection for the monitor and controller to talk to each other. We work to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors, so please have a backup plan for important teaching sessions. We may change or improve features; if we remove something you've paid for, we'll offer a fair alternative.

5. Liability

To the extent the law allows, SIM MONITOR CO is provided "as is", and we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from use of SIM MONITOR CO for anything other than education and simulation. Where our liability can't be excluded but can be limited (for example under the Australian Consumer Law), it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

6. Ending use

You can stop using SIM MONITOR CO at any time. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms, for example by sharing licence codes or copying content.

7. Law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia, Australia. We may update them; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use SIM MONITOR CO after a change means you accept it.
